Prepaid Roaming Plans

i.    Roaming plans are only available to prepaid subscribers.

ii.            Roaming is currently available to New Zealand, Australia, USA/Alaska/Hawaii, Canada, Digicel Pacific (Fiji, Vanuatu, Nauru, Tonga and PNG) China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Italy, France & Ireland.

iii.            Customer is responsible to ensure he/she has sufficient credit balance in his/her mobile before travelling, to opt in to Roaming offers. Should customer need to Top Up while in overseas, there are 4 ways he/she can Top Up; using the Top Up App or Online Top Up, Credit Me, Digicel Mobile Money or buy recharge in store at selected locations (refer to FAQ for more details)

iv.            All Roaming Mix Plans, Roaming Data Plans and Roaming Voice Plans do not auto-renew, and unused bundles does not rollover.

       v.            For Roaming Mix Plans

• Voice minutes can be used to call back to any local Samoa numbers (Digicel & VF) any local number in the roaming country (Landlines and Mobiles) and receiving calls from anywhere.

• Data bundle to be used within the roaming country only.

     vi.            For Roaming Data Plan

• Data bundle to be used within the roaming country only.

• Once customer opts in to this plan he/she will receive a bundle roaming plan valid for 30 days. Once the plan expires or bundle finishes, a message will be received advising customer to purchase another plan or continue with Out of Bundle standard roaming rates as outlined on the table in question 7.4

• A data usage SMS will be triggered when customer uses 75%, 90% and 100% of its data plan.

   vii.            For Voice Plans

• Minutes can be used to call back to any local Samoa numbers (Digicel & VF) any local number in the roaming country (Landlines and Mobiles) and receiving calls from anywhere.

• Once the bundle expires or finishes, Out of bundle rates described on the table in question 7.4 will be charged.

 viii.            Roam Offers may change from time to time at our sole discretion. We will use reasonable efforts to give you notice of any change required.

1.     Who can use this Roaming service?

Prepaid Roaming is for All Prepaid mobile customers only.

2.     How does Roaming work?

Roaming is a service that allows prepaid customers to be charged an exclusive out of bundle roaming rates or PAYGO rates while roaming in the following roaming destinations.

3.     Do I need to activate Roaming?

No, Prepaid roaming is activated by default.

4.     I am able to make calls but data is not working

It might be that data roaming on your mobile is not enabled. Go to Settings, Mobile Network and Enable Data roaming. 

5.     How do I contact Customer Care while roaming if I have an issue?

You need to dial long number +685 7720000 to speak to a customer care agent to fix your issue.

6.     How do I Top Up when I have run out of credit while roaming.

There are four different ways you can Top Up,

7.1 Top Up App or Online Top Up: http://online-top-up.digicelgroup.com

                                i.            Download the Top up App from Google Play or App Store or click on link.

                               ii.            Fill in the registration form online

                             iii.            Select Top up Amount & Phone Number

                             iv.            Make Payment with you credit card

7.2 Credit Me

                                i.            Send Request to your family and friends back home in Samoa to transfer credit to you mobile or simply recharge your phone.

                               ii.            Dial *127*sender’s number*amount# (Example *127*7XXXXXX*50#)

7.3 Digicel Mobile Money

                                i.            Dial *888# or visit MyCash App

                               ii.            Select Buy Top Up

                             iii.            Enter mobile Number

                             iv.            Enter Amount

                               v.            Enter PIN & Confirm

7.4 Buy Recharge in Store in selected Locations

   i.  Australia: Nearest news agency and 7eleven and many other convenience stores

ii. New Zealand: Dairy, petrol station, The Warehouse, Countdown and Super value Supermarket.

After getting the voucher visit http://www.digicelrecharge.com/ and follow simple instructions. 

All Digicel retail stores in Nauru, Tonga, Vanuatu & Fiji.

Prepaid Roaming Rates:

The Roaming plan also allows prepaid customers to opt in to a special bundle plan for a subscription fee while roaming in the following roaming destinations. The subscription fee allows customers to access low usage rates for voice, texts and data.

Important Tips

• Keep sufficient credit when you are travelling overseas.

• Subscribe to Roaming plan or bundle and then turn on data roaming

• Disable background apps or updates.

Prepaid customers can click on MyDigicel App or dial *123#, select Roaming (option 8) select the roaming region and country to choose a roaming bundle.
