The Mini and Full Wallet is part of our simplified KYC process to ensure we meet regulatory standards while offering flexible access to financial services

Customers are categorized into two tiers:

  i.     Mini Wallet (Tier 1): Basic registration with limited transaction capabilities.

ii.     Full Wallet (Tier 2): Enhanced verification, allowing access to higher transaction limits, broader financial services, and improved account features.

1.     What details are required for a Mini wallet?

We will need personal information such as your given name(s), surname, date of birth, address, gender, occupation, and a passport size photo of yourself.  

2.     How can I upgrade from a Mini Wallet to a Full Wallet?

To upgrade to a Full Wallet, you must submit the following documents:

·       A valid form of identification (passport, driver’s license, SNPF ID, Voter’s ID).

·       Additional personal information, such as your nationality and place of birth.

3.     Where do I submit my KYC documents?

You can submit your KYC documents through the following channels:

                                                 i.     Customer Care by dialing 123 and making a submission online

                                                ii.     In-store visit to any Digicel operated Retail store or Kiosk

 

4.     What happens after I submit my KYC documents?

Once submitted:

  • Your documents will be reviewed and verified for authenticity and compliance.

  • If everything is in order, your wallet will be upgraded from Mini Wallet (Tier 1) to Full Wallet (Tier 2).

  • You may be contacted if additional information or clarification is needed.

5.      How long will it take for my account to be upgraded to Tier 2?

The KYC upgrade process usually takes 24 to 48 hours from the time your documents are received and verified.

6.      How will I know if my upgrade to Tier 2 was successful?

You will receive a confirmation via SMS and/or email once your account upgrade is complete.

7.      What should I do if my upgrade request is rejected?

If your request is unsuccessful:

  • Ensure all documents submitted are valid, clear, and meet the required criteria.

  • Contact Customer Care to identify the issue and get guidance on how to correct and resubmit your documents.

8.      What are the benefits of being a Full Wallet (Tier 2) customer?

With a Full Wallet, you can enjoy:

  • Higher wallet balance limits.

  • Higher daily and monthly transaction limits.

  • Access to a broader range of financial services.

  • Enhanced security and greater flexibility in using your account.

9.      Is there any cost associated with upgrading my wallet?

No, upgrading from a Mini Wallet to a Full Wallet is completely free of charge.

10.   What types of transactions require a Full Wallet?

Certain high value services such as international transfers, large domestic transfers, and bill payments above $5,000 require Full Wallet status.

11.   Can I downgrade from Tier 2 back to Tier 1?

Downgrading is not typically offered once upgraded, but if you have specific concerns, you can contact Customer Care for assistance.

12.   What should I do if I have trouble submitting documents online?

If you encounter technical difficulties:

  • Visit a Digicel operated Retail store or Kiosk for in-person assistance.
