Digicel in partnership with Samoa Surety Finance Limited provides financing services to Digicel customers who require a new handset/device.
Customers who are not able to pay the handset/device upfront can opt for the financing option with Samoa Surety Finance Limited. Customer must request for a quote of the handset/device from Digicel and submit to Samoa Surety Finance along with the requirements needed for financing assessment.
1. What are the requirements needed for financing assessment?
The following are the requirements for assessment;
Applicant:
· Copy of ID
· Confirmation letter
· 3 latest payslips
· 3 months bank statement (SCB, BSP, NBS)
· Quote from Digicel (Price of the Device)
Guarantor(s):
· Copy of ID
· Confirmation letter
· 3 latest payslips
· 3 months bank statement (SCB, BSP, NBS)
· Consent letter
Samoa Surety will advise applicant after the assessment if financing request has been approved or disapproved.
2. What are the handsets available for financing option?
Devices over $500 and above will be available for the financing option.

4. Who can apply for financing option?
Only customers who are employed with a stable salary can apply for the handset financing option.
5. What is the process of the financing option?
I. Customer visit Digicel Retail store to check and decide a handset eligible for financing option
II. Request for a handset quote from Digicel once handset is decided on for financing
III. Submit quote with other requirements (refer question 3) to Samoa Surety for assessment. Assessment will take 2 to 3 days.
IV. Samoa Surety Finance Limited to provide to Digicel a fully singed copy of financial agreement agreed between Samoa Surety and Digicel customer for verification prior to release of handset/device from its inventory.
6. What is the fixed interest rate for the financing option?
Fixed interest rate is 16%
7. Can a customer apply for multiple handsets using the financing option?
Customer can apply for multiple handsets given they meet the payment requirement. The number of handsets a customer can apply for is based on the assessment by Samoa Surety Finance Limited.
8. Can I request for a handset replacement if the handset/device is faulty within the warranty period?
Replacement for faulty handset covered by the warranty can be granted after a thorough faulty assessment by technicians.
Warranty on any device sold is deemed void in the event of any unauthorized unlocking or upgrade of software/hardware and liquid or physical damage. Faulty devices upon purchase need to be returned within warranty period with proof of purchase for repair or replacement if applicable.
9. Is this service available for our customers in Savaii?
Yes, this service is also available for our customers in Savai’i. The customers will be referred to the Samoa Surety Finance Limited Team who will facilitate the process via email.
