Digicel Pacific today continued its mobile leadership by being named Samoa’s Fastest Mobile Network by Ookla for the second year running, making it the go-to place for a superior data experience.

Ookla, the company behind Speedtest, is the global leader in fixed broadband and mobile network testing applications, data and analysis.

Digicel Samoa CEO, Seiuli Deepak Khanna, said we are delighted to have achieved the Fastest Mobile Network award in Samoa for the second year running and this underpins our commitment to provide our customers with the best service possible.

Digicel also reached a significant coverage milestone with its 101st cell tower installation this week.

“These achievements have been the result of listening to feedback from customers, close monitoring of network performance, the assistance from Telstra, Australia’s largest telecommunications and technology company, and the continued support from the Samoan government.”

He continued; “We are delighted to surpass 100 cell towers in the country by installing two new towers in Lalovaea and Faleseela. This investment reinforces our ongoing commitment to deliver the best coverage for our community, the fastest network speeds and expanding our footprint so that our customers benefit from a world class network experience.”

“Our customers in Lalovaea and Faleseela will be able to experience the power and speed of Digicel’s network allowing them to connect at home, at work, and on the go. They will enjoy superfast access to high-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more. This will see our people communicate, live, work, connect and play for years to come.”

“We are at the cutting edge of technology, and day by day we are making significant progress on our roadmap to bring the best network experience to our customers,” commented Seiuli Deepak.
