Digicel Samoa returns as naming rights sponsor for the 36th Marist International 7s

Digicel Samoa today announced its continued support of the Marist St. Joseph’s Sports Club as the naming rights sponsor for the 36th Marist International 7s tournament. This marks the second consecutive year that Digicel Samoa has thrown its weight behind this exciting event, solidifying its dedication to fostering the growth of rugby in Samoa.

 

The Marist International 7s has a rich history of attracting quality local and international teams, fostering a competitive environment that fuels improvement and development. Digicel Samoa recognises this spirit's power, mirroring its commitment to continuous progress.

 

Digicel Samoa CEO, Anthony Seuseu, said; “We are thrilled to reignite our sponsorship with the Marist International 7s. This tournament not only celebrates the sport of rugby, a national treasure for Samoa but also provides a platform for aspiring young players to showcase their talents on the international stage. Tournament Director, Tolumaanave Mathew Iakopo, said; “These are difficult times financially so we’re very thankful that Digicel Samoa has once again put up its hand to support this good course. Our aim, as we’ve always had with this tournament is to provide a platform that is worth of the investment from our naming rights sponsor, our sponsors, players, coaches, management, officials, the organisers and the supporters.”

The 36th Digicel Samoa Marist International 7s takes place on 21 & 22 June at the Apia Park Stadium.
