Digicel Samoa has launched a new mobile tower in Sapapali’i, Savai’i. The launch event brought together government officials, village leaders and Digicel Samoa representatives, marking the next chapter in the company’s mobile network expansion plans for Savai’i.

This investment will enhance connectivity available to over 1,000 residents across five villages, and provide access to faster, more reliable voice and data services, unlocking access to mobile banking, telehealth, online learning, and digital entertainment.

This marks a major milestone in Digicel Samoa’s commitment to digital inclusion, ensuring that rural communities are not left behind in today’s digital world.

Miss Samoa, Litara Allen, whose home village is among those covered by the new mobile tower, shared her gratitude at the launch event; “This isn’t just about coverage – it’s about connection. Our students can now learn online, our elders can access health support closer to home, and our families can stay in touch more easily. On behalf of my village and the people of Savai’i, I want to thank Digicel Samoa for making this possible. This tower brings us closer to opportunity.”
