2.        How am I advised, if I have won a prize?

FOR COMMUNITY GRANTS INITIATIVES

Community Grant Initiatives

·       Support Local Initiatives: Digicel Fiji will be funding 3 community projects, each with a $16,000 grant.

·       How to Apply: Local Communities can submit Expressions of Interest outlining their proposed projects by 31st October 2024. Link: Click here

Three grants of $16,000 cash each OR in kind will be awarded for community projects.

I.            How do I enter the weekly prize draw?

a.        Simply participate in any of the promotional activities outlined during the promotional period.

II.            When does the Promotion start and end?

a.        The Promotion is valid from 1st October 2024 to 8th November 2024. (the “Promotional Period”).

III.            What is the maximum cashback I can earn?

a.        You can earn cashback based on your transactions at selected business partners.

b.        For example, if you spend $20 you will get $1 cashback, if you spend $50 you will get $2.50 cashback, if you spend $100 you will get $5 cashback, if you spend $200 you will get $10 cashback, if you spend $500 you will get $25 cashback or if you spend $1000 you will get $50 cashback.

V.            When will winners be announced?

a.        Winners will be announced weekly on official Digicel Fiji Digital platforms & grants for community project grants winners will be announced at the end of the promotion period.

VI.            Who cannot participate in the Promotion?

a.        Any current director, officer, employee, or agent of Digicel Fiji or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, or affiliated companies, franchisees or service agencies, independent contractors or suppliers of services to Digicel Fiji;

b.        Immediate families of current Digicel Fiji employees;

c.        Employees and immediate families of employees of any company associated with this Promotion;

d.        Persons who do not reside in Fiji;

By submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for Digicel's Fiji Community Support Initiative, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

a)        Eligibility

a.        This initiative is open to all local communities, organizations, and groups within the specified regions in Fiji i.e., Central, Western and North.

b.        Only one entry per community or organization is allowed.

b)       Project Selection

a.        A total of three projects will be selected—one for each region: Central, Western and North.

b.        The project must be relevant to the communities.

c.        The decision of Digicel Fiji’s evaluation panel will be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.

c)        Project Proposal

a.        The project must clearly demonstrate a positive impact on the local community.

b.        The proposed project should align with Digicel's Fiji goal of community betterment and must address specific community needs or challenges.

c.        Projects must be feasible within the provided budget of FJD $16,000 per region.

d)       Budget Allocation

a.        The project budget is capped at $16,000 FJD for each selected project.

b.        Any additional costs beyond this amount must be covered by the community or organization applying.

c.        Applicants must provide a detailed budget estimate with a clear breakdown of the costs.

e)       Evaluation and Selection Process

a.        All submitted EOIs will be evaluated based on the following criteria: community impact, feasibility, sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation.

b.        Digicel Fiji will evaluate each project impartially using the set evaluation criteria and scoring system.

c.        The decision of Digicel’s Fiji evaluation panel will be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.

f)         Project Timeline

a.        Applicants must provide an estimated timeline for project completion.

b.        Projects must be completed within a reasonable time frame following approval, not exceeding 12 months from the start date.

c.        Any delays must be communicated to Digicel Fiji in writing for approval.

g)        Permissions and Compliance

a.        If applicable, applicants must obtain all necessary permissions and consents (e.g., planning permission, landlord's consent) before project commencement.

b.        Digicel Fiji will not be held responsible for any legal or regulatory issues that arise during project implementation due to non-compliance with local laws.

h)       Sustainability

a.        Applicants must demonstrate how the project will be sustained after the initial implementation, including plans for maintaining the project’s long-term impact.

i)         Documentation and Promotional Consent

a.        Applicants consent to Digicel Fiji documenting the project (photos/videos) for promotional purposes.

b.        Digicel Fiji will images, videos, and other media from the project for marketing, communication, or reporting purposes without further approval or compensation.

j)         Reporting and Accountability

a.        Successful applicants must provide regular updates on project progress.

b.        Upon completion, a final report detailing project outcomes, community impact, and financial spending must be submitted to Digicel Fiji.

c.        Digicel Fiji reserves the right to audit the project at any stage to ensure the proper use of funds.

k)        Disqualification and Withdrawal

a.        Digicel Fiji reserves the right to disqualify any project if it is found that false information was provided in the application.

b.        Digicel Fiji also reserves the right to withdraw funding at any stage if the project is not progressing in accordance with the agreed-upon plan or if there is a failure to comply with these terms and conditions.

l)         Force Majeure

a.        Digicel Fiji will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under this initiative due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, or other force majeure events.

m)      Privacy and Data Protection

a.        All personal information collected as part of the EOI process will be used solely for the purposes of project evaluation, administration, and communication.

b.        Digicel Fiji will handle all personal data in compliance with local data protection laws.

n)       Miscellaneous

a.        These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Fiji.

b.        Digicel Fiji reserves the right to amend or update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

If you do not agree to or accept any of the Terms, or if you are under the age of eighteen (18), you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.
