Digicel representatives met Commodore Peter Ilau, DMS, CBE, Commander of the PNG Defence Force, at the Sir Hubert Murray Barracks today, to present the PNG Defence Force with their Digicel-sponsored rugby kit for the upcoming Defence Forces Cup to be held in Wellington, New Zealand.
Commodore Ilau said
"As Commander of the PNG Defence Forces, I would like to acknowledge Digicel PNGs support, in sponsoring our playing kit for the tournament. The team have been preparing diligently and training hard, and I am confident that they will do the country proud next week in New Zealand. We are looking forward to competing with our Defence Force colleagues from other countries in the Pacific."
Digicel PNG Head of Customer Care Rizsa Miguel joined colleague Billy Gigmai, National Site Acquisition Manager, in presenting the Defence Force team with their kit, which includes playing gear, tracksuits, polo shorts and training tops.

The Defence Force Cup takes place from October 25 to November 5 in New Zealand. Five teams will take part representing the Defence Forces of New Zealand, Australia, Tonga, New Caledonia as well as PNG.
Commander Leo Kase is Team Co-ordinator/Manager. He concluded:

The PNG Defence Force team departs for Wellington on October 25.
