Digicel Launches New ‘call Me’ Service
August 27th 2007 - - Innovative new way for Papua New Guineans to stay in touch, even when they run out of creditMonday, August 27, 2007 - Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea: Digicel, the fastet growing mobile operator in the South Pacific, today launched “Call Me”, a fast and efficient way for customers to stay in touch with friends and family, even when they run out of credit.
‘Call Me’ allows customers to send a FREE text message to their friends and family asking them to “Call Me” as they have run out of credit. It’s simple! All you have to do is text *126*; followed by your friend’s mobile number; followed by #; and then press send. The person you are trying to contact receives a text messages asking them to call you.
Digicel’s Head of Marketing, Peter Watinga, said of the new service, “Call Me is a free service from Digicel which ensures that no matter where you are, or how much credit you have left on your mobile phone, you are always able to make contact with your friends and family.”
