Digicel Delivers Christmas Cheer And Surprises
December 23rd 2008 - Digicel staff initiative sees early Christmas presents for the children of Treasures Home in NadiTuesday December 23rd, 2008:The children of Treasures Home in Nadi received a surprise visit today by the Digicel Santa and the Digicel staff who came bearing gifts.
The children and staff alike sung Christmas carols before the gifts were handed out.Some of the children were so excited that they couldn’t wait till Christmas day to open their gifts.Each child got a chance to take a picture with Santa and were able to keep a copy for their personal albums.
Treasures Children’s Home supervisor, Luisa says of the visit by Digicel staff, “Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness today and taking the time out to visit us and bringing us gifts”.
Digicel Staff took the initiative to give back to the community this Christmas season by asking staff to donate a gift for various children’s charities around the country.This visit completes the initiative by Digicel staff who on Friday last week visited the Dilkusha Home with the Digicel Fiji 7s players and earlier today visited the children’s ward at CWM Hospital.
Treasures Children’s Home was first established in Ba in 2000 and then in Nadi in 2007.It is currently home to 14 children between the ages of 8 months old and 15 years old and employs 16 staff.Their vision is to bring up these orphaned children with sound and strong morals and emotional and spiritual values.
