Vanessa Slowey, Chief Executive Officer, Digicel Asia Pacific

Vanessa joined Digicel in 2003 and was appointed as the CEO for Digicel Asia Pacific in 2006. Vanessa successfully led the launch of Digicel Asia Pacific and currently holds responsibility for the overall management, performance and growth of operations for the region.  Prior to her appointment she held senior positions within the Digicel Caribbean operation.  Before joining Digicel, Vanessa worked for Eircell (now Vodafone) and Eircom in Ireland.  Vanessa received her education from Harvard Business School, the Irish Management Institution, the Dublin Institute of Technology and the University College Dublin.



Frank O'Carroll, Vice President - Business Development, Digicel Asia Pacific, North Africa and Middle East

Frank joined Digicel as the Business Development Director in April 1999 and was Digicel’s first employee. In 2000, Frank secured the company’s first telecommunications license for Jamaica. During Frank’s time as Business Development Director for the Caribbean, the company secured telecommunications licenses in: Barbados; the Cayman Islands; Aruba; St Lucia; St. Vincent and the Grenadines; Grenada and Dominica. Prior to his time with Digicel and Denis O’Brien, Frank was Programme Manager for the Marketing Development Programme at the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business at University College Dublin.  Frank received his education from University College Dublin and holds a degree in Commerce (Banking & Finance) Marketing and Management.


Geoff Weir, Chief Financial Officer, Digicel Asia Pacific

Geoff joined Digicel as the CFO for Digicel Asia Pacific in March 2011.  Geoff is responsible for the financial integrity of the Group and has significant commercial, strategic, acquisition and change management experience across a range of organisations, including start-ups, high growth and company turnarounds. Geoff received his education from Smurfitt College, University College Dublin where he received a BA with Honours in Business and Finance, together with a first class MBA. He is also a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants.



David Dillon, General Counsel, Digicel Asia Pacific

David joined Digicel Asia Pacific in 2006 as General Counsel.  David is responsible for the Legal and Regulatory affairs across Asia Pacific from inception to completion.  Prior to joining Digicel, David headed up the Competition and Regulatory Practice of Eugene F. Collins. He also worked for the internationally acclaimed law firm, Gibson Dunn & Crucher L.L.P.  David received his education from University College Cork and holds a Bachelor of Civil Law.


Darren McLean, Commercial Director, Digicel Asia Pacific

Darren joined Digicel in January 2010 as Commercial Director of Digicel Asia Pacific.  Darren is responsible for the Commercial and Marketing activities across the Pacific as well as diaspora markets, Australia and New Zealand. Prior to joining Digicel Darren worked with O2 Ireland for six years and Vodafone New Zealand.  He also held the position as Head of Revenue and Market Analysis with Freedom Air International. Darren received his education from the University of Waikato where he holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Economics) and at Massey University where he holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business (Marketing).
